My Interest in WWE
My Niche / Nov 5, 2018
I started watching WWE in elementary school and ever since it has become part of my life. People will usually say that wrestling is fake and its just for kids and to those people I say: So is your favorite show and everything else on TV.
It is only in few places like Japan where wrestling is seen as an art form and not as a kids show because it takes real dedication and real talent. And most of all, the emotion that WWE creates towards its fans is real. WWE is like a story that never ends. Two of my favorite characters are John Cena and Stone Cold Steve Austin. John Cena gets a lot of hate and negativity because he always wins but the truth is he has earned it all and never complained he always proves everyone wrong and when people say he is not supposed to do something he goes ahead and does it anyway just like he has been doing so for the past decade. My other favorite character is Stone Cold Steve Austin because in the late 90s he single handedly kept the WWE alive when it was in danger of going out of business and taken over by another wrestling company called WCW. His main story was against the owner of WWE and this gained a lot of attention because everyone across the country knew what it was like to want to be able to stand up to their boss. His motto was "DTA: Don’t Trust Anybody" & "Don’t Change For Nobody." |
Politics
Observation Assignment / Nov 8, 2018
I honestly don't care much about politics even though it seems like it at times. I didn't even know you could vote for other things other than the president until this years because of the mid-term election that recently took place. So I guess you can also vote people in senate and the house of representatives. I really couldn't begin to tell you what each branch of the government does all I know is that the president has the highest position in the army and he has the ultimate say when it comes to declaring war.
I wouldn't consider myself a republican nor a democrat because i believe that both political parties have their own personal interests and separate political agenda. They have no interest in the actual people themselves and they don't respect the opposing sides view. I am extremely conservative on some issues like abortion but I'm also extremely liberal when it comes to legalizing marijuana.
I feel like the right (conservatives) and the left (democrats) are both yelling why they think they are correct to the point where it has become near impossible to be in the middle and that's what we need in our society today. When I am picking a side it is because I'm trying to make someone see their opponents views and explain why even though they are wrong they still have good intentions. If it weren't for the side you are fighting against then you yourself wouldn't have a purpose so it's like finding the yin in the yang and realizing that you need both sides. You don't have to agree with the opposing side but you should see where they are coming from. Understand before being understood.
I'm the type of person to show up to a 4th of July celebration wearing a shirt with a confederate flag on it, not because I agree with what they say but because I understand their point of view enough to respect it and not consider it absolute blasphemy. Our society has a tendency to segregate from what is believed is right and what is wrong before trying to comprehend it. I'm also the type of person to be at a KKK rally even though I don't agree with anything they say, I'd be doing it understand where they come from. And isn't that what makes this country so great? You can wave an LGBT flag while at the same time wave a confederate flag without being prosecuted by the law.
In the grand scheme of things, democracy is an illusion and believing that your vote matters is ignorant; whomever becomes president may be a mere coin-toss. The reason democracy is an illusion is because it's just a way for the people at the top think we matter and to make us think we have a purpose when in reality we are working our entire lives for something deep down we will never obtain like fame. So it is my philosophy that the sooner we realize we don't have a purpose in this society the sooner we can actually live in harmony and stop harming nature and stop stepping over one another for fame and fortune so that we can focus on caring for each other as human beings.
A frech philosopher by the name of Voltaire once said: "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

6ix9ine
My Favorite Person / Nov 28, 2018
At first I was going to do this assignment on Eminem but then I realized that I already did a presentation on him for my hero in Spanish class last year. So then I thought I about doing it on a hippy rapper called Mod Sun that i really like. But then I remembered that I had dyed my hair like the rapper 6ix9ine because I like him.
Tekashi69's half Mexican from his mother's side and half Puerto Rican from his father's side. His real name is Daniel Hernandez, there are six letters in his first name and nine letters in his last name but that isn't the reason he calls himself 6ix9ine. He calls himself that because just like yin and yang there always needs to be a balance in energy and for example if you see a six written on the floor one would argue that it is a nine if they were standing across from you, so just because you both have different ways of perceiving the world it doesn't mean that either of you are wrong and you shouldn't accuse each other of being wrong.
His father was shot and killed right in front of him when he was relatively young and he explains it as watching a superhero like Superman die in front of you and realizing that the world isn't fair and no one can hide from death. This experience made him want to rebel so he stopped going to school and he would barely get up to eat at one point his mother called a lady from Mexico to rub some oils on him kind of like a curandera. His family was so poor that his mother had to go out and find whatever clothing she could for him and she once found a pair of shoes that had been thrown out and when Hernandez wore them to school the next day a kid recognized them as pair he had thrown out. After his father died he started rebelling and always got into trouble and he was required to go to therapy where his therapist told him that if he didn't straighten up he would be end washing his therapist's car in the future. Some of his teachers even told him that with the mouth he had he wouldn't be alive in five years. He dropped out of school right before his freshmen year started and wouldn't get his GED until 2018 as part of a court ruling.
On his eighteenth birthday he was at a party where a thirteen year old lied about her age and performed in sexual intercourse with other men but not with 6ix9ine but he was still charged with having consensual sex with a minor to which he pleaded guilty because he was scared and he knew if said he pleaded innocent the repercussions would have been much worse. As a result he was not forced to register as a sex offender as long as he wrote a letter of apology to the girl's family and work on getting his GED.
He is my hero because I feel like I can relate to his story coming up because my dad was also taken from me at a young age when he was arrested and we both also came from low income families and he is also of Mexican decent like me. I like him because his main message is that you don't have to look tough or look a certain way to be a gangster. It doesn't depend on what you look like or where you came from, it depends on what you do and how you present yourself. On November 23rd he was supposed to release a thirteen track album but on the 18th he was arrested by the FBI on several charges of racketeering and his trial will be on September 4 2019 and he ix expected to get at least ten years or twenty-five years at the most. He tried posting bail by giving his entire bank account of $1.5 mil but was denied.
The reason I like him is because his story coming up is very much like mines and he also reminds me of my favorite rapper Eminem when he was younger with his "I don't give a damn" attitude. I hope that when he gets out he uses this as a learning experience as gets away from all the gang affiliations and I hope he grows as an artist just like Eminem did.

Chef (2014)
Movie Review / Nov 29, 2018
I saw this movie in my 6th period Creative Writing class and I am supposed to review it. I actually didn't watch about forty minutes of it but I'll do my best to review it. This is a family friendly movie and it has a lot of good lessons and is easy to keep track of what's going on. Some notable actors in this film are Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sofía Vergara, and John Leguizamo.
So basically the main character is some overweight man in his forties and he is a professional chef who is divorced to and they have a young kid together. On the weekends the kid spends time with the dad and watches him cook at this one high class restaurant. As a chef he gets reviewers that eat his food and review it, and some reviewer leaves a nasty review which really ticks off the main character and confronts him on Twitter and tells him to come to the restaurant so that he can cook him a special meal. So somehow he ends up buying a food truck and travels around the country cooking with his son. The movie takes place during the summer so the kid isn't missing school. The only actor that I really liked was John Leguizamo because he's been in other films like Spun (2002) and he is really funny. The kid has this thing where he records once a say kind of like a blog and at the very end he puts it all in a one video made of one second snippets that he had accumulated and he plays it for his dad, that is by far the most emotional scene of the movie.
I really liked how every time the man would cook they would make it look like he was making the greatest piece of art ever orchestrated. One of the most notable takeaways from this movie is to step outside of your comfort zone and do what you have always wanted to do and to stop being pushed around so that you can finally follow your dreams.
This movie is rated R and got a 87% on Rotten Tomatoes and made $46 million dollars in the box office. Even though it's rated R, I think it is still a family movie because it involves a divorced family and a lot of families across the country are in that situation. I recommend this movie if you are planing a family night or just like to look at food.

My FamilyMy family and I have been through a lot and they support me in everything I do.
You can choose you friends but you don't choose your family. |
Being AliveEveryone should have the right to live and the death penalty should be abolished.
The education of a man is never completed until he dies. |
MarijuanaI think everyone should try marijuana at least once in their lives before being against it. To me it is a sacred plant.
